Vitrite is a small utility that lets you adjust the transparency level of the majority of visible windows. It works using a characteristic which is present in Windows 2000 and XP for variable window transparency. Once Vitrite is active, it is placed in the taskbar. To make a window transparent, you just have to click on it and press Ctrl Shift and any number on the keyboard.

Vitrite makes it possible to generate new transparency levels. It also comes prepared to highlight a window over all the others. Vitrite was written in C and has a GNU licence. It hardly consumes system resources, making Vitrite a good idea to download.
